Google’s recommended publishing frequency

Google does not have a specific recommended number of posts a blog should be publishing.

Instead, Google’s emphasis is on providing high-quality, relevant content that offers value to users/audience and satisfies their intent.

While a high publishing frequency indirectly impact SEO by influencing factors like freshness, crawl frequency, and user engagement, Google prioritizes content quality over quantity. This is not surprise since Google’s algorithm works to rank high the best and most relevant content to it users which are as well your audience.

Here are some general guidelines based on Google’s best practices:

[1].  Focus on Quality: Google encourages website owners to prioritize quality over quantity when creating content.

Instead of aiming for a specific number of blog posts, focus on producing valuable, well-researched content that meets the needs and interests of your target audience.

[2]. Be Consistent: While there’s no set rule on how often to publish, maintaining a consistent publishing schedule can help keep your audience engaged and signal to search engines that your website is active and regularly updated.

Choose a publishing frequency that you can sustain over the long term without sacrificing content quality.

[3]. Update Existing Content: In addition to creating new blog posts, consider updating and improving existing content to keep it relevant and valuable to your audience.

Ultimately, these are the three recommended guideline from Google and does not provide any specific recommendations on the number of blog posts any blog should be publishing frequently.

The key Takeaway:

Google cares about its search users and encourages that every piece of content you publish should be valuable and satisfying to its users.

This is what it wants and uses in ranking your blog site, and doesn’t care much about how often or how many blog posts you publish at any given time.

How many blog posts you need to start making money

My Recommended publishing frequency

I don’t have any specific recommendation on how often you should post on your blog.

I generally think you just need to complete your niche articles or go as deep as possible in covering them.

It is left for you to plan on how to achieve that either by gradually publishing weekly or monthly, or aggressively doing so by outsourcing and writing as much as you can using a content calendar or set limit.

If you maintain consistency or go beyond 5 blog posts every month that will be significant over one year. This will help you grow your blogging revenue over the long run depending on how you’ve monetized your posts.

Purely for me anywhere between 2 – 5 a week is just ok, especially as a beginner.
