If backlinks are so important as people emphasize them then most blogs won’t even succeed from scratch.

This eventually comes down to click-through rate and longer time on the page or longer time on the site entirely this is the biggest factor that determines a page’s ranking on Google.
A blog can only achieve this by publishing high-quality content that will derive high engagement and through advertising or manual promotion to ignite their initial engagement Google can gather and use to compare your page with other ranking pages.
